The operation of Tourism is made up of five key elements that interact with each other, creating my study area known as Rotorua. The keys are Tourism and Markets (TM), Attractions (A), Facilities and Infrastructure (FI), The Tourism Industry (T) and Regulators (R). The role of Tourism and Marketing are the ‘who’ of Tourism, Market is used to portray buyers of product where’s Tourist is a source of travel and destination. This can refer to the amount of domestic and international visitors visiting in Rotorua.

Attractions are the ‘what’ of Tourism, offering dramatic scenery, outdoor experiences, adventure activities and cultural tourism attractions.

To be continued... :)
